Shipping Your Slide to ModMount

ModMount is not a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) and ONLY works on slides and optics. Do not send frames/receivers, ammunition, or complete firearms of any kind. Also, please strip, bag, and keep your sidearm’s internals.

Sending your optic lets us dial in the fit. If you do not include it, we machine the footprint 0.002" oversize to account for manufacturer tolerances.

How to Package Your Slide

  1. Print your prepaid label and go to USPS within 7 days of ordering.

  2. At USPS, show them your label and request your prepaid Flat Rate Box.

  3. Pack tightly with paper, bubble wrap, or foam so nothing can rattle

  4. Keep your tracking number until you receive our “Slide Received” email

USPS Priority Mail is typically 2–3 business days in transit, but timing can vary by region. ModMount is not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen items in transit. We strongly recommend purchasing shipping insurance.

Return Shipping From ModMount

  • Once your slide passes final inspection, we ship it back via USPS Priority Mail to the address you provided at checkout.

  • You’ll receive a “Shipped” email with tracking info as soon as it goes out

  • Your total turnaround time is your selected processing tier (Standard or Rush) plus shipping time each way.

Delivery and Address Accuracy

  • Double-check your shipping address at checkout

  • Ensure someone is available to receive the package if your area is prone to theft

  • If USPS returns a shipment to us due to address or delivery issues, we'll contact you to arrange re-shipping, which may require an additional shipping fee.

Shipping Protection

Every shipment includes basic USPS insurance (currently $100 per shipment) by default. You can purchase shipping protection:

  • Choose a coverage amount based on what your components are worth

  • Pricing is $2 per $100 of coverage per leg, up to $5,000 per shipment

  • Example: $500 of protection for both legs costs $20 total

This protection increases the amount that can be reimbursed if a covered shipping issue occurs in transit.

Coverage is provided through EasyPost, and any claims are filed and handled according to their terms and procedures.
